A memorial and celebration of John Lenon’s life.
Today’s inspiration originally came courtesy of Mutsumi of Sakura Junction who is celebrating her lovely blog’s first birthday. Please check it out! A true celebration for her.
I have re-written this a little in the wake of the Belgium bombings in Brussels. In the face of this senseless violence, I thought of John Lennon’s song and in particular, this verse.
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…
I have reached out to my friends in Belgium and they are safe. I can only imagine the sense of shock , horror and, despair, anger, fear and helplessness they must feel. In the aftermath, Many must feel stunned and as if they are living in a half light but they are holding strong and will not be dictated to by this horrible act perpetrated not by decent people with a belief in Islam as it should be practiced, but by fanatics.
