The Salaam Baalak Trust is a NGO worthy of admiration. Salaam Baalak Trust is an Indian non-profit and non-governmental organization which works to make the lives of street and working children in Delhi, India better.
I took part in one of their City walks and have nothing but admiration for the Trust and the young people they have helped. My admiration deepened as I heard the story of my guide and how he had been aided by the trust and indeed helped himself by accepting their help and striving to make the most of every opportunity he received. He went from living on the streets, vulnerable and alone to being a college graduate with a future and the empathy to pay back the Trust by volunteering and helping those who are in the position he once was.
